Softback Notebook, Lined Paper–Blue and Red Chiyogami Flowers

Description

This softback notebook is a Steifbroschuren, or stiffened paper binding, bound by hand at Booksmith Conservation in Austin, Texas. Notebook measures 5 ½” X 8 ½” and is a slim, moderately flexible, elegant design. The textblock is 80 pages of Mohawk Superfine, 25% cotton, acid-free, 80-pound paper, sewn properly by hand. Endsheets are hooked on to the first and last signatures, allowing for a stronger overall construction that will not tear along the inner hinges. Corners are rounded and the textblock is flush with the cover. Decorative paper is Chiyogami,silk-screened in Japan; bookcloth spine compliments the decorative paper design. Notebook opens completely flat.
