Softback Notebook, Unlined Paper–Yellow and Light Blue Persephone

Description

This softback notebook is a Steifbroschuren, or stiffened paper binding, bound by hand at Booksmith Conservation in Austin, Texas. Notebook measures 5 ½” X 8 ½” and is a slim, moderately flexible, elegant design. The textblock is 80 pages of Mohawk Superfine, 25% cotton, acid-free, 80-pound paper, sewn properly by hand. Endsheets are hooked on to the first and last signatures, allowing for a stronger overall construction that will not tear along the inner hinges. Corners are rounded and the textblock is flush with the cover. Decorative paper is from Cambridge Imprint in Cambridge, England; bookcloth spine compliments the decorative paper design. Notebook opens completely flat.
